01
About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Keon, the team that builds and runs the Keon wallet ("Keon", "we", "us"). They apply when you install or use the Keon wallet (the "Wallet") or this website. If you do not agree to them, do not use the Wallet.
How we handle your information is covered by our privacy policy, which is part of these terms.
02
What Keon is
The Wallet is a self-custody wallet for Starknet. You can create and recover accounts, send and receive tokens and collectibles, swap, stake, connect to apps, and keep your wallets the same across your devices. It is available as a browser extension for Chrome, Brave and Firefox, and as an Android app.
Transactions run on the Starknet network. Once the network confirms a transaction, it cannot be undone.
03
No custody and no recovery
Your keys are created and kept on your device. We do not hold your funds and cannot move them. We cannot reverse a transaction, reset your password or recover your recovery phrase.
Sync and Google Drive backup only help if you still have your recovery phrase or password. If you lose your recovery phrase, you may lose your funds for good.
04
Your responsibilities
- Keep your recovery phrase and password safe and private. Store the phrase offline.
- Never share your recovery phrase or private keys with anyone. Keon will never ask for them.
- Check every transaction before you approve it, including the address, the amount and the app asking.
- You are responsible for everything done with your accounts.
- Follow the laws that apply to you, including tax laws.
05
Who can use Keon
You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a binding agreement. You may not use the Wallet if you are on a sanctions list, if you live in or act for a country or region under comprehensive sanctions, or where using the Wallet is against the law.
06
Apps and services we do not run
The Wallet lets you use apps and services that other people run. These include Starknet apps you connect to, the AVNU swap service, staking and lending protocols such as Endur and Vesu, WalletConnect, Google Drive and the network providers the Wallet talks to. Wallets made with Ready (Argent) or Braavos can be recovered in Keon, but those wallets' contracts are theirs.
We do not control these services and are not responsible for how they work, their fees, their terms, or losses caused by their smart contracts. You use them at your own risk.
07
Safety checks are a help, not a guarantee
The Wallet simulates transactions, estimates fees, checks sites against a list of reported scams and warns you about risky requests. These checks can be wrong, incomplete or unavailable, and simulation can be turned off in Settings. You can also choose to continue past a warning.
A transaction that passes every check can still lose you money. Always read what you approve.
08
Session keys
If you allow an app to use a session key, that app can send transactions within the limits you set without asking you each time. You are responsible for the limits you choose. You can end a session at any time in the Wallet.
09
Fees
Keon is free. We do not charge a fee to send, swap or stake. Network fees go to the Starknet network, not to us, and the fee shown before you approve is an estimate. Swap and staking providers may charge their own fees, which are included in the quote you see.
If we ever add a fee of our own, we will update these terms first and show it before you confirm.
10
Not financial advice
Prices, balances in other currencies, yields and other figures in the Wallet come from third parties and may be late or wrong. Nothing in the Wallet or on this website is financial, investment, legal or tax advice.
11
What you may not do
- Use the Wallet for money laundering, financing terrorism, fraud or any other illegal activity.
- Copy, reverse-engineer or resell the Wallet, except where the law allows it.
- Introduce malicious code or try to disrupt the Wallet or the services behind it.
- Impersonate Keon or anyone else.
12
Our software and brand
The Wallet and this website belong to Keon. We give you a personal licence to use the Wallet for what it is made for.
You are welcome to use the Keon name and logo to talk about Keon, review it, write or make videos about it, link to it, or show that your app works with it. You do not need to ask. We only ask that you do not change the logo, do not suggest that Keon endorses or runs your project when it does not, and do not use the brand to pretend to be Keon.
Names and logos of other projects that appear in the Wallet and on this website, such as tokens, apps and other wallets, belong to their owners. We show them only so you can recognise them.
13
No warranties
The Wallet is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that the Starknet network or any third-party service will be available.
Using blockchains and digital assets carries risks, including price swings, smart contract bugs, network congestion and changes in law. You accept those risks.
14
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Keon and its team are not liable for any loss of funds, data, profits or opportunity, or for any indirect or consequential loss, that comes from your use of the Wallet or of any third-party service.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for all claims is limited to 100 US dollars (USD 100). Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
15
Indemnity
If your breach of these terms or of the law leads to a claim against Keon, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of that claim, to the extent the law allows.
16
Changes to the Wallet
We may change, pause or stop any part of the Wallet or this website. Your funds stay on Starknet under your own keys either way, so keep your recovery phrase: it is what lets you reach them.
17
Disputes
If you have a problem with Keon, contact us first and we will try to resolve it within 30 days. If we cannot, the dispute will be settled under the law that applies to Keon, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.
18
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page, and for an important change we will also show a notice in the Wallet. If you keep using the Wallet after a change, the new terms apply.
